BUCYRUS―A local family is devastated and pleading for the return of their beloved dog.
Morgan Keets said she is offering a $500 reward for the safe return of her family’s Australian Shepherd with no questions asked.
Here is the first of many Facebook posts Keets has created about her dog that has been missing since Sunday morning from their home in the Heinle Road area close to Wynford Schools.
“Our best girl is missing. We let her out to go potty and she’s gone. We heard a truck and didn’t think anything of it. She’s just gone. She normally runs free we don’t chain her up because she usually stays close to home. Please share this. We are devastated and this is a family member. If you were driving the truck and took our dog please bring her back. Don’t be a jerk. Just give her back. My son is losing his mind right now. She’s wearing a pink collar that is camo and says Remington on it. She is 11 months old and tubby! She gets fed well. She has one blue eye and one green eye. I promise if you took her I’ll find you and you won’t like me. Give her back.”
Keets, who recently battled cancer, said she and her husband have checked with both the Crawford and Wyandot County Humane Societies and Harley is not there.
“I’ve got almost 400 shares on my Facebook post. Someone has to know or has to have seen something. We’ve been in contact with the Crawford and Wyandot County Sheriff’s Departments and have spoken with the dog warden who hasn’t picked her up,” said Keets.
She said a person has been seen in a pickup truck around the area looking for dogs.
“It happened to another friend of mine in Mansfield last night. The puppy was stolen right off the porch. I’m angry,” said Keets.
She said her dog has been fixed so she cannot be bred to make people money. She was wearing a Remington collar in pink camo when she went missing.
“Drop her back off to my house or the humane society and we will go get her. Do the responsible thing here. I’m losing faith in humanity at this point,” said Keets.
