NEVADA— A family is now without a home and lost all their possessions due to a house fire that occurred early Monday morning.

Wyandot East Firefighters were called to a fully engulfed house fire at the corner of Ohio 231 and County Highway 182 in Nevada at 3:49 a.m. on Monday.

According to a report by the fire department, crews arrived at the scene to find a two-story house with heavy fire involvement on the front. They confirmed that all occupants were out of the house and initiated a transitional fire attack.

Mutual aid was received from Upper Sandusky Fire, Pitt Twp Fire, Sycamore Fire, and Holmes Twp Fire. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined.

The home is owned by Michael and Brittany Wise. They were uninjured and made it out of the home with their two children and their pets. No firefighters were injured at the scene.

Items are being collected by friends of the couple as they lost everything in the fire. The house was insured and the family is staying with relatives temporarily.

Friends of the couple are collecting clothing, toiletries and toys for the children to help the family while they work towards setting up a new household.
