BUCYRUS―For 20 years, local families have made their way to 4146 Klopfenstein Road to participate in Family Field Day at the Elkhorn Lake Hunt Club. The event will kick off at 8 a.m. this Saturday, Sept. 29, and last until 3 p.m. Saturday is also National Hunting and Fishing Day.
A donation of $5 includes lunch and outdoor events such as archery, fishing, shotgun and rifle ranges, and additional seminars.
Elkhorn Lake Hunt Club Family Field Day is a non-profit event in conjunction with many nonprofit organizations such as the National Wild Turkey Federation, National Rifle Association, Ruffed Grouse Society, Friends of the NRA, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, etc.
Children must be accompanied by parent or responsible adult and a registration form and liability waiver must be signed and returned by Friday, September 28th OR call to register and bring the form on Saturday. Check-in will be held from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

A youth pheasant hunt will also be held Saturday for youths 12 and older with valid hunting licenses. To print registration forms, visit the website.
