BUCYRUS―A local farm operation that recently received a donation has forwarded the funding to the Crawford County Senior Fair Board.

According to Crawford County Fair Secretary and Manager Rebecca Miller, farmer Don Worden of Worden Farms Ltd of rural Bucyrus was recently awarded a donation by the America’s Farmers Grow Communities.

“The award was then forwarded to the Crawford County Fair. We were able to put siding on the Dairy Beef Barn with this generous donation. We were also gifted the other portion of the funds needed to complete this project from a local 4-H club, the Liberty Leaders,” said Miller. “Without both of these generous donations, we would not have been able to fund this project and preserve this barn for future generations.”

The newly sided barn was dedicated on Sunday during a ceremony. Sunday was the first day of the 162nd annual Crawford County Fair that runs until Saturday, July 20, 2019. Admission is $5 per person and kids under 8-years-old are admitted free of charge.
