The annual Baked Goods Auction was held Saturday at the Crawford County Fair. Auctioneer Tom Brause had the pleasurable duty of auctioning off the delicious delectables.

One apple pie went for $47.50. Getting first prize was a pecan pie made by Myra Cook. Other items sold included a carrot pie, beer cake, banana-coconut upside-down cake, caramel cookies and of course, chocolate cake.

Brause said for next year, “I’m going to make carrot cake and cowboy cookies.

4-H members had fun passing out the treats to the auction winners.

Elizabeth Pritchard says the auction brings back fond fair memories.

“Last year was the first year I even entered anything in this and I haven’t enter anything since I was in 4-H myself. I know how much I enjoyed it back then and it’s really sparked my interest now,” Pritchard said. “Just buying stuff from friends and people I know and people are buying my stuff.”
