MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—This summer, step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s classic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is coming to the Renaissance Theatre. The beloved tale will be brought to life in a series of performances that promise to captivate audiences with its timeless romance and magic.
The musical, an international sensation that has been produced in 37 countries worldwide, is based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature. The stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The enchantment begins on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 7:30 PM and continues on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 2:30 PM. Additional performances will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 7:30 PM, Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 2:30 PM, Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 2:30 PM.
The production is directed by Ryan Shealy with musical direction by Kelly Knowlton.
