MANSFIELD—Miranda Jones, the Executive Director of the Crestline-Galion Chamber of Commerce, remains hospitalized following a serious car accident earlier today.
According to reports, Jones, 41, a resident of Ontario, was involved in a nearly head-on collision on Ohio Route 314 at approximately 11:38 am. Jones, driving a 2015 Toyota Minivan, was traveling northbound on Ohio 314 when she crossed the center line on a curve, causing her vehicle to veer off the east side of the road.
Anton Prenkocha, 53, from Michigan, was operating a 2011 Kenworth semi-tractor pulling a box trailer. He swerved to avoid the collision and ended up hitting a telephone pole and traffic signs, as reported by the patrol.
Jones was transported to Ohio Health Hospital Mansfield with injuries, while the semi driver remained unharmed. Jones received a citation for crossing the center line.
