SULPHUR SPRINGS — Multiple agencies responded to a structure fire at 4604 Ohio 98 in Sulphur Springs early Thursday morning.

Liberty Township Fire Department Chief Rick Harley said the fire started in the back of the house, but the cause still is undetermined.

He said his department received the call to respond at approximately 4 a.m. and units shortly arrived on scene.

According to Harley, no one occupies the building, and as a result, no injuries were reported.

Agencies that responded along with Liberty included, Tiro-Auburn Volunteer Fire Department, New Washington Fire Department, Chatfield VFD, Jefferson VFD, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the American Red Cross Crestline Chapter.

The incident remains under investigation.
