Bucyrus Elementary School is proud to announce that Ashley Davis, a fifth grader at BES, is the second place winner of the Masonic Jurisdiction Essay contest for Family Life Week.
In her essay, Ashley discussed her family’s positive influence on her life. Ashley was honored in a ceremony at the Masonic Temple where she received a plaque and a $100 prize that will be used in the classroom.
“By voluntarily entering the contest, it shows that Ashley not only has passion for her family, but also for her education,” fifth grade Language Arts teacher Leah Barger said. “We are very proud of Ashley for her writing accomplishments.”
Principal Todd Roll speaks for all of Bucyrus Elementary when he said, “Our school is extremely proud of Ashley’s demonstrated writing talent, learned skills, and initiative in entering her essay.”
