The Bucyrus Elementary School will host the Scholastic Book Fair Monday, November 4 through Friday, November 8. Students can shop from 8:15 to 10:30 a.m. and 12:30- 3 p.m. each day during the Book Fair. The Book Fair will take place in the Media Center and will be open to students for a preview on Thursday, October 31, and Friday, November 1. The community is welcome to attend the book fair for the Family Shopping Night on Tuesday, November 5, from 6-8 p.m. This is a great opportunity to help your children pick out books, find Christmas presents or help the BES Library and teachers.

Each year, Bucyrus Elementary School holds two book fairs. These book fairs are the only opportunity that BES has to raise money for books. Half of the money raised goes to teachers for their classroom libraries and the other half goes to the BES Library. Even if you do not have children, you can help.

Elementary School Librarian Diane Kaple says, “By purchasing books it helps us put new books on our shelves. If they can not attend the Family Shopping Night, they can make purchases online.” From November 1-15, books can be bought online at www.scholastic.com/fair. All of the sales, online or at the Book Sale benefit our sales total.

Payments can be made by way of cash, check or credit card. Checks should be made out to the Bucyrus Elementary School PTO. Money raised will go toward purchasing new books for teachers’ classrooms, as well as the school library.

Thank you for encouraging your child to read. Bucyrus Elementary School appreciates your support and looks forward to seeing you at the Book Fair. If you have questions, you can contact Diane Kaple at the Elementary School at (419) 562-6089 or dkaple@bucyrusschools.org.
