BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A fatal crash occurred on State Route 4 north of Denzer Road early Sunday morning, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. The accident, which happened at approximately 6:36 a.m. on October 29, 2023, involved a 2013 Ford Focus and a 2013 Honda Accord.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the Ford Focus, carrying two occupants, was traveling northbound on State Route 4 when it lost control and veered off the west side of the road. The vehicle continued northbound in the ditchline before overturning and rolling.
One occupant of the Ford Focus was ejected onto the roadway and subsequently struck by the Honda Accord, which was also traveling northbound on State Route 4. The ejected occupant was pronounced dead at the scene.
Assistance at the crash site was provided by Bucyrus TWP Fire, Bucyrus City Fire, and Dallas TWP Fire. Both vehicles involved in the accident were towed by Carl’s Towing.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
