The Galion Fire Department was called out early Thursday morning to battle a house fire at 417 Hensley Street. A Galion Fire Department spokesperson said the call for the fire came in at about 3:15.

galion fire dept 1Three vehicles from the department and seven firefighters responded to that call. The American Red Cross said two adults live at the home. The fire department identified their last name as Sollar. No one was injured.

Although the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, it is known that it started in the crawl space area of the utility room. Damage estimates are $11,500.

The Red Cross provided immediate aid to the residents for food, clothing, lodging and transportation.
