On October 27, 2016, the Galion Police Department, in conjunction with the United States Postal Service, completed an investigation and made an apprehension of a suspect at around 11:30 am involving possession of drugs. Detectives from the Galion Police Department had received information previously from partners in the METRICH Drug Task Force regarding packages that were delivered to the Galion Post Office for a local Galion resident. Detectives and officers of the Galion Police Department effected the arrest of the suspect after the package was delivered.

brandon-nusbaumBrandon Nusbaum, 22 years of age of Galion, was apprehended outside of the Post Office. He is currently being held in the Crawford County Jail on charges of Possession of a Schedule II drug. Officers seized over 200 tablets of Oxycodone during the investigation.

“This is great work by our detectives, working in conjunction with the METRICH Drug Task Force and the United States Postal Service, to eradicate over 200 pills of Oxycodone that were likely going to be trafficked to members of our community,” said Galion Chief Brian Saterfield.

Formal charges will be filed by the Crawford County Prosecutor after review of the investigation.
