MARION—Seniors are invited to join the excitement at Downtown Marion Senior Day on Wednesday, August 23rd. The event, organized and sponsored by Kingston Residence of Marion, promises exclusive discounts, deals, and specials at various downtown businesses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The highlight of the day will be the festivities held at the Brickyard on Main. Starting at 11 a.m., participants can engage in Bingo and enjoy live entertainment until 1 p.m. A $5 cover charge at the door grants access to the Bingo game from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Additionally, there will be a captivating performance by local talent John Garnes from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Bingo prizes generously come from downtown businesses, while door prizes are graciously provided by local senior-oriented companies.
For those interested in exploring Historic Downtown Marion, a guided tour will be available, beginning at 1:00 p.m. from the Brickyard. Thanks to the Marion Area Transit, seniors can make use of a shuttle service to embark on this informative tour.
Kingston Residence of Marion, the Brickyard on Main, OhioHealth, and the Downtown Marion Business Owner Collaborative are co-sponsoring this special day for seniors. The event also receives valuable support from Center Street Community Medical Center, CenterWell, Gentiva, Snyder Funeral Homes, Steve Roush-Elder Law Attorney, Marion County Council on Aging, Marion Senior Center, and Senior Insurance Services.
