MANSFIELD – A full-service salon and spa in downtown Mansfield is “ready to impress” its clients with an array of hair and beauty needs.
Salon Vivace has been serving North Central Ohio residents since 2009. But its downtown location at 18 W. Fourth St. has expanded its services since it was purchased by Lisa Rose about 18 months ago. And it’s boasting a brand-new look.
“Everyone loves it and our goal is to be able to bring to the salon everything you need, all of your services in one place,” said Rose. “We like to serve the community too. We get involved. We do as much as we can with free haircuts for kids and other things.”
Rose, who also owns the two-story brick building that houses Salon Vivace, has renovated the salon by adding a loft and spa area as well as a new manicure and pedicure room. Massages and facials are now available, along with dermaplaning, microblading and other skin care services for men and women.
She calls The Lofts at Salon Vivace “a salon within a salon.” Each loft has space for two hair stylists, their workstations, shampoo bowls and a small waiting area, but they’re operated by independent contractors. “You usually find more of that luxury loft style in bigger cities, like Columbus and Cleveland,” said Rose.
Also new on the long list of guest services are eyelash extensions and lash lifts, Rose said. While the extensions add length and volume to a woman’s natural lashes, the lift process in comparison curls and tints the lashes with a semi-permanent solution that lasts about six weeks, she explained.
Since taking over, Rose has also transformed the décor of the historic building at the corner of Fourth and Walnut Streets to reflect its original charm. The original storefront windows are still intact, but the interior is now painted in rich jewel tones and accented with metal pieces.
Twenty-seven employees, from hair stylists and nail technicians to lash artists and licensed massage therapists, work in the 6,000-square-foot salon, which also books a private room upstairs for special pampering events, such as proms and wedding parties – complete with fruit and refreshments.
The salon is open from 9 to 6 on Monday, from 9 to 8 Tuesday through Thursday, from 9 to 5 on Friday, and on Saturday from 9 to 3. It is closed on Sunday. Walk-ins are accepted for select services however appointments are preferred.
