BUCYRUS—Former Bucyrus Telegraph-Forum Publisher Jim Croneis will be signing copies of his book that covers 200 years of Bucyrus history at First Friday downtown today.
In a media team up for a good cause, Croneis, along with publishing chairman Fred Fischer will be right next to the WBCO/WQEL and Crawford County Now tent on the corner of Rennselaer St. and Sandusky Ave. in downtown Bucyrus.
Davey Jones and other personalities from the station will be on hand for a live remote.
This labor of love to preserve the journey of Bucyrus and the surrounding area to its bicentennial birthday was a long process.
Publication Chairman Fred Fisher had to go through hundreds of Jim’s weekly columns called “ Down To Earth.” Some articles needed complete type resets. Donations from area businesses made the expensive process possible. Publication delays due to Covid slowed the process as well.
The proceeds from the sale of the books will be split between the Historical Society, The Preservation Society, and the Bicentennial Commission. The current price of the book set is now $99.95 for the 3-volume set.
