Crawford County has two champions from the Ohio Police and Fire Games this year.

Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold won in his age and weight divisions with a 335-pound bench press and a 140-pound strict curl. Both were records.

Lt. Jon Dorsey, a member of the Bucyrus Police Department, went for a back-to-back win in the bench press after last year’s gold medal win. Dorsey won gold and set a record with a 170-pound strict curl.

Bucyrus police officer Curt Bursby added to the gold coming back to Crawford County with a tennis title.

The Ohio Police and Fire Games is an annual event held across the state each year featuring over 35 events. Competitors span a variety of departments, from police officers and firefighters to fish and wildlife officers, military police, and prosecutors. This year’s event was held June 11-16 in Canton.
