BUCYRUS―The Bucyrus Police Department and Neighborhood Watch are hosting ‘Dog Walker Watch’ training, Thursday, September 12, 2019, at 6 p.m. at Aumiller Park.
Dog Walker Watch encourages neighbors to assist local police as extra eyes and ears while out walking their dog. The program enhances the partnership between police and community while providing resources for neighbors to be more aware of and how to effectively observe and report suspicious activity.
According to the Humane Society, there are 75 million dog walkers across the country, meaning all times of the day and in any weather, folks are strolling with their dogs while, texting, chatting or listening to music.
Please join Lt. Jon Dorsey today, Sept. 12 at Aumiller Park for this special training. You are welcome to bring your dog.
