(I hope you’re singing it with me!)
Deciding whether to buy or sell a home in November often comes with a mix of excitement and hesitation. The holidays are around the corner, the temperature is dropping, and the idea of packing boxes while everyone else is hanging stockings can feel… well, overwhelming. As a Realtor, let me first say — these thoughts and feelings are completely valid.
When clients come to me in this season of indecision, I like to ask two key questions:
1. What is the opportunity here?
Even though it’s late in the year, there are still advantages to moving forward. Interest rates have dipped just a schosh, and housing inventory remains low — which means if your home is listed, it’s going to be seen. Serious buyers are still out there, and fewer listings mean less competition. I remember one client who felt torn — he said it was like “doing the splits between selling one home and buying another.” In the end, seeing the opportunity clearly helped him take that next step confidently.
2. Where is my peace?
This is the most important question of all.
You can be afraid and still be at peace. You can be uncomfortable and still be at peace. But if you’ve lost your peace entirely — that’s your sign to pause.
The bottom line?
If you are at peace, go.
If you are not, stay.
Your peace is not for sale.
