Crestline Village Council met in regular session on Monday, March 20, with all members present.

Several people addressed council in support of Crestline resident Rob Shawber.

Shawber has been the driving force behind development of Crestline’s new disk golf course. The project is overseen by council’s parks, playgrounds and recreation committee. The committee apparently voted earlier this year to remove Shawber from the project.

Shawber originated the project, raised more than $9,000 in donations and contributed many hours of unpaid labor toward building the facility, which is on village land along County Road 35, on the west side of town.

The first nine holes of the disk golf course are slated to open in April, weather permitting. Supporters and Rob Shawber himself asked that he be allowed to finish the project he started.
