As part of the Attorney General’s annual Ohio Law Enforcement Conference, Attorney General Mike DeWine will hold a special symposium addressing the opiate epidemic.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Opioid Response Strategies Symposium will provide insight for attorneys, law enforcement officers, and other professionals so they can offer a coordinated response to the drug problem.

They symposium will focus on the investigation and prosecution of opiate overdose cases and the use of community resources. Instructors and panelists will include experienced crime scene agents, computer forensic specialists, investigators, and prosecutors.

Attorney General DeWine will also take part in two additional events taking place at the conference.  He will first provide opening remarks to start the conference and will then attend a round table with law enforcement and members of the Attorney General’s Teen Ambassador Board to discuss the opiate epidemic in Ohio, current police/community relations, and human trafficking.

All three events are taking place on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at at the Hyatt Regency Columbus, 350 N. High Street, Columbus
