Ongoing projects for the city of Bucyrus will result in some temporary inconvenience for area motorists.

Demolition on the SchinesTheatre in downtown Bucyrus will result in a portion of South Sandusky Avenue being closed beginning late this morning (Thursday). A detour will be put in place. The thoroughfare will be reopened whenever possible during the project, but the closure is expected to be on an off-and-on basis this week and next.

The public is reminded that no one may take bricks, items or debris from the theater site. Such an act would be considered theft and such actions will be prosecuted.

Beginning Monday, Beechgrove Road will be closed daily to through traffic between Ohio 98 and Stetzer Road during normal working hours to accommodate construction activity of a new water main line for the new water treatment plant.

The closure will allow safer working conditions and a faster project completion.
