BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Declaration is set to be read live in front of the Crawford County Courthouse tonight at 6 p.m.
Adopted by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, the United States Declaration of Independence severed the 13 original colonies’ political ties with Britain.
Drafted largely by Thomas Jefferson, it serves as the nation’s foundational mission statement, asserting that all people possess unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
The public is invited to enjoy this presentation starting at 6 p.m. in front of the Crawford County Courthouse.
