Dave Phillips of Cincinnati Works will be the speaker at the newest edition of the Crawford Conversation.

Phillips, along with his wife Liane, created Cincinnati Works, a nonprofit, member-based organization that helps the poor of Cincinnati find economically self-sustaining jobs and helps them keep those jobs.

Hailed by businesses, agencies, communities, funders, and other nonprofits as the most revolutionary and repeatable program anywhere, the model is now being considered by many communities across the country as the best-of-the-best practices for creating win-win solutions for people in poverty and for businesses that need qualified entry-level workers.

Phillips will speak at the Crawford Conversation at noon on April 22 at Gospel Baptist Church, 5670 State Route 19, Galion. He will share how Cincinnati Works has changed lives for the better.

Tickets for the event, which also includes lunch, are $20 per person before April 15. Early registrants will also receive a complimentary copy of Why Don’t They Just Get a Job by Liane Phillips.
