The Crawford Theatre Company will present ‘Legally Blonde the Musical Jr.’ at 7:30pm on July 10, 11 and at 2:30pm on July 12. Performances will be held in the Wynford High School Auditorium, 3288 Holmes Center Road.

Nominated for 7 Tony Awards and winner of Best Musical (Olivier Awards), this all-singing, all-dancing romantic comedy is based on the novel by Amanda Brown. The show’s core message, be true to yourself, is especially relevant to CTC’s youth audience, but also resonates with seasoned theatre-goers. Fans of the 2001 movie starring Reese Witherspoon will recognize the plot: Sorority president Elle Woods doesn’t take “no” for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone “serious,” Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law School. Along the way, she learns it’s so much better to be smart.

Betsy Gerhart directs the talented group of young actors who range from ages 6 to 16 and hail from all over Crawford, Marion, Richland, and Seneca county.

Tickets are $12 for Adults and $10 for students. Reservations can be made by calling 419-562-0404 or at MB Subculture, 127 S Sandusky Ave. For more information, visit www.crawfordtheatrecompany.com.
