BUCYRUS — A rollover crash inside Bucyrus city limits called for the response of multiple agencies Monday morning.

According to Bucyrus Police Capt. Neil Assenheimer, 31-year-old William Strauch said he believed he fell asleep while driving westbound on East Warren Street near its intersection with South Lane Street.

Strauch reportedly drove his blue Cadillac CTS4 over the street curb, striking a “no parking” sign and a tree, causing the vehicle to roll and come to a stop on the vehicle’s roof.

Firefighters with the Bucyrus Fire Department and BPD assisted with removing Strauch from the vehicle before he was examined by Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Service staff.

Strauch was not transported as a result of any injuries.

Assenheimer said Strauch was cited for failure to control.
