BUCYRUS — Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Ohio 4 on Wednesday morning.
At approximately 7 a.m., a 74-year-old Galion woman was driving a red Chevrolet Cobalt on Mount Zion Road when she attempted to cross the intersection at Ohio 4 and struck a white Chevrolet Traverse driven by an 40-year-old Illinois man.

The woman told deputies with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office she thought the man was traveling slower than he was and when she pulled into the intersection, their vehicles collided. The male driver’s airbags deployed as a result of the collision.
Lt. Tim Mutchler, with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, said a citation for failure to yield is likely to be given.

Both drivers refused treatment from the Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Service.
Bucyrus Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
