The Crestline school district lost another key leader in its administration. High school principal Doug Potts resigned and his last day was June 13.

Potts’ resignation came over two weeks after Crestline Superintendent Dave Heflinger announced his resignation. Heflinger, who will remain on Crestline’s payroll through the month of June, will be taking the superintendent position at Field Local School District in Mogadore.

Potts started his Crestline career in 1999 as the technology coordinator for the schools. He later became principal at Crestline Middle School then was hired as principal at the high school.

Potts accepted the principal position at Fredericktown High School.

The Crestline Board of Education will now have to hire a superintendent, high school and elementary principals, and a treasurer.
