The Crestline Village Council is going to get in one more meeting in the year 2014 and that meeting would appear to be a fairly brief one.

Village Council members will meet at 5 o’clock tonight in special session with just two items on the agenda. Council members will discuss the appointment process for filling a vacancy on council. Council member Kevin Taylor submitted his resignation at last Monday’s regular council meeting.

Village Council will also discuss amending its permanent appropriations ordinance for 2014. That will be done as an emergency.

The Auditor of State’s Office had earlier informed the village that it advised against the village’s plan of advancing money into the General Fund from the Capital Improvement Fund to avoid a year-end deficit. The Auditor of State’s Office is scheduled to look at the village books in January.
