The Crestline Village Council collectively heard and responded to the voice of its constituents and repealed an unwanted ordinance Monday night.

Council members voted 4-2 to repeal the $50 ambulance refusal fee it imposed earlier this year after it was criticized by residents and village fire and rescue personnel. Allen Laferty and Allen Moore voted against the repeal.

In other business Village Council renewed a rental agreement with the Red Cross for space in the Golden Age Center at an increase over the previous lease.

Council also renewed a mutual aid fire contract with Liberty Township and the village of Sulphur Springs.
