Press release

Crawford County’s 3rd Annual Community Care March will begin at 9 a.m. on Nov. 2 at Crestline High School, 435 Oldfield Rd. and will end at the Gazebo on North Seltzer St. in Crestline. Walkers come together to create awareness about the tragedy of drug abuse and to urge everyone to commit to helping fight the battle of substance abuse and addiction.

“Drug abuse hurts each and every one of us,” said a spokesperson from Together We Hurt, Together We Heal. “This event unites us as a community, shows we care about those affected by drug addiction and that we are willing to do what it takes to fight it. We encourage you to become a part of the solution—doing nothing is not an option.”

Everyone is welcome to take part in the march– for those who may have difficulty walking, transportation will be available. Maps of the route, t-shirts and informational flyers will be provided and shuttle service will also be available to get participants back to their vehicles afterward.

“This is an opportunity to tell the community you care about individuals facing drug addiction and their families and friends and pledge that we will win this fight in Crawford County,” said David Williamson, Executive Director of the Crawford County Partnership for Education and Economic Development.

The event is sponsored by Together We Hurt, Together We Heal and the Crawford: 20/20 Vision.
