A Crestline High School teacher has been indicted on two felony charges after allegedly having sexual contact with a student.

Twenty-four-year-old Brittany Hall, of Bucyrus, is scheduled to be arraigned in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Wednesday after being indicted by the Crawford County Grand Jury on one count of sexual battery and one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The alleged victim was a fifteen-year-old Crestline High School student when the incident occurred between March 1 and May 31, 2012.

Hall, who had been hired as an English teacher in August of 2011, was placed on administrative leave on May 3, 2013, shortly after the accusation was made and the offense was investigated by the Crestline Police Department. She had also worked as a girls basketball coach and a baseball volunteer.

If Hall is convicted as charged, her state teaching license could be revoked, according to an Ohio Department of Education spokesman. Read the full story in the Jan. 22 edition of the Crestline Advocate.
