The Crestline teacher indicted on two felony charges appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court for an arraignment hearing Thursday morning.
Brittany Hall’s lawyer James Mayer entered not guilty pleas on Hall’s behalf to a felony three charge of sexual battery and a felony four charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Mayer noted that the case had been under investigation for some time and that the 24-year-old Hall had been living in Bucyrus that time. He asked for a personal recognizance bond to be set. Judge Russell Wiseman issued a personal recognizance bond on Hall and ordered her to have no contact with the victims.
The alleged victim was a 15-year-old Crestline High School student when the incident occurred between March 1 and May 31, 2012.
Hall had been hired as an English teacher in August of 2011 and had also worked as a girls basketball coach and a baseball volunteer. She was placed on administrative leave on May 30, 2013, shortly after the accusation was made and the offense was investigated by the Crestline Police Department.
Should Hall be convicted as charged, she is facing the possibility of having her teaching license revoked.
Wiseman continued Hall’s case for a pre-trial hearing.
Forty-six-year-old Hollie Sieving of Tiffin also appeared in Common Pleas Court for an arraignment hearing Thursday. Not guilty pleas were entered by her attorney, James Mayer, for two counts of theft of drugs, a fourth-degree felony.
Sieving was issued a personal recognizance and ordered to have no contact with her co-defendants.
Forty-nine-year-old Kimberley Hough of Mt. Gilead will be given a second chance to kick her drug habit. Wiseman placed Hough on a two-year intervention program, where she will undergo treatment at a facility in Detroit. He tolled her community control until her successful completion of the program.
