The Crestline Exempted Village School District had a superintendent to replace Dave Heflinger for less than a day – perhaps as short as a couple of hours.

Kenneth Miller was approved by the Crestline Board of Education as the district’s next superintendent at a special school board meeting on Monday. Miller’s contract was for three years at an annual salary of $90,000. But just two hours later the Crestline Advocate reported that it learned Miller had suddenly resigned.

No details were given as to why Miller so quickly vacated the post.

The school board is slated to meet this evening at 5:30 to officially accept Miller’s resignation and to begin again the search process for a new superintendent.
