CRESTLINE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Crestline Exempted Village Schools is mourning the loss of a beloved educator following a fatal car accident. Mr. Cameron Lyon, a 5th- and 6th-grade teacher within the district, passed away as a result of the crash.
In a statement released to the community, school officials expressed “profound sadness” regarding the tragedy. The district highlighted the deep impact Mr. Lyon had on those around him, noting the heartbreak felt by his family, his fiancée, his students, and his colleagues.
“Our hearts are broken for his family, his fiancée, his students, his colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched,” the district stated. “We ask our Bulldog Community to please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.”
As students and staff return to the classroom, the district has mobilized support services to help the school community process the loss. Counselors will be available at the school to provide support for any students or staff members who need someone to talk to during the grieving process.
