CRESTLINE—The Crestline School board met on Monday evening for their regular meeting at the Crestline High School gymnasium and via YouTube.com.
The board voted to approve updated criteria for the Crestline High School Academic Letter program during their regular meeting on Monday evening at the high school gymnasium.
Superintendent Matt Henderson said the changes needed to be made to be able to include students who are in the College Credit Plus program full-time.
Crestline High School Principal Kevin Fourman was then able to award varsity letters to two students who are now eligible, including Hannah DeLong and Ivy Stewart.
He said both will have multiple college credits when they graduate.
Both girls play on the girls’ basketball team. Stewart was not able to be at the meeting due to swim practice but DeLong was presented with her letter during the meeting.
The board accepted the resignation, effective Nov. 30, 2020, of multi-categorical classroom teacher Michelle Lowery. The board approved the job transfer of Autumn McGarvey from high school intervention specialist to a multi-categorical teacher.
The board approved several other agenda items, including the purchase and installation of a new district-wide phone system through Northwest Regional Systems of Mansfield, OH, not to exceed $26,768.00, through the Federal CARES Act allocation. An Intrado/School Messenger for district communication services for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2026, not to exceed $10,000 over the terms of the contract was also approved.
The board will meet for their annual organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 11.
