CRESTLINE—Less than 24 hours after announcing that the Crestline Municipal Swimming Pool is closed until further notice due to a person visiting the pool on Thursday who was diagnosed with a positive case of COVD-19, the Crestline Police Department has announced that the pool will open today, July 18, with normal operating hours.

In a press release on Saturday morning from Police Chief Jeff Shook, the pool area has been thoroughly sanitized.

He said the Richland County Public Health Department was contacted to assist with the situation.

“Based on their information and guidance, we have thoroughly sanitized the pool area as a precaution and will reopen at noon,” Shook said. “Special thanks to Michael Hatfield of the Crestline Service Department Team for going the extra mile and sanitizing the pool area last night.”

He said that everyone who visits the pool needs to observe proper social distancing requirements.

“Thank you for your patience and if you do have symptoms, please self-isolate and so not patron our facility,” said Shook.
