NEWS RELEASE:
On February 21, 2018 the Crestline Police Department received a call from the Crestline Schools regarding an alleged Bomb Threat. Officers responded and found a statement written on the bathroom stall in the Middle School boy’s restroom. The statement said, “There’s a bomb in the school”. School staff evacuated the students and most staff members. The Crestline Police Department was assisted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, the Crestline Fire Department, K-9 Units from the Kent State University Police Department, the Cleveland State University Police Department, the Cleveland Transit Police Department, and the University Of Akron Police Department.
All Officers conducted a sweep of the building but did not locate anything suspicious. The investigation into who wrote the note is still pending.
