Aaron L. Frazee, 28, of Crestline made the decision to plead guilty on Tuesday, Nov. 7, the day before he was scheduled to go to trial in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.
Frazee’s plea resulted in him being sentenced to a total of eight years in prison.
He was pleaded guilty to one count of permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony; possession of drugs, a third-degree felony; three counts of trafficking in drugs, all fifth-degree felonies; and possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.
The first charge against Frazee originally was engaging in corrupt activity, a second-degree felony, but it was amended to permitting drug abuse as a result of the guilty plea.
Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall said the amendment to the charges did not change the time Frazee is to be incarcerated.
Frazee received a one-year sentence for each fifth-degree felony charge and three years for the third-degree charge.
He also was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine and court costs, and received credit for time spent in jail.
