CRESTLINE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crestline Lions Club successfully completed their 3rd Annual Fall into Service Project at the Little League and Softball fields in Crestline on Sunday, October 13. The project involved staining two bleacher sections at both fields and two picnic tables at the Little League Complex. A total of seven Lions Club members participated in the project.
Over the past two years, the metal bleacher frames were repainted, and new lumber was installed by the Carpentry Class at Pioneer Career and Technology Center. This rehabilitation effort was funded by Crestline Youth Sports. The staining process marked the final step in the bleachers’ rehabilitation.

The Lions Club’s motto, “We Serve,” was exemplified through this project, aligning with their mission to serve the community. Crestline Lions Club President Janelle Grube expressed her satisfaction with the club’s response and the project’s outcome. “I was very happy with the response I received from the club regarding the project, and I was happy with the results we achieved,” Grube stated.
Chartered on May 12, 1949, the Crestline Lions Club has been serving the Crestline community for over 70 years. Other notable projects include the annual Subs for Sight fundraiser, benefiting the club’s Sight and Service Fund, and the BBQ Chicken Dinner fundraiser, which raises funds for the Crestline fireworks display.
