The Crestline Public Library will remember civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech at 6 p.m. on Aug. 28. That date marks the 50th anniversary of King’s now famous speech that was given during a march on Washington, D.C., on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Those wishing to participate should meet in front of the old Presbyterian Church on North Thoman Street at 6 p.m., Aug. 28, to recreate the march on Washington. Participants will march down the sidewalk to the library, and then in to the library to hear David Chatman recite the speech.
Those opting not to march may go to the library for the speech at approximately 6:30 that evening.
