A softball complex in Crestline just got a little bit closer to becoming a reality on Wednesday with the release of NatureWorks grant recipients.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources listed Crestline’s Roundhouse Park Softball Complex as one of 92 recipients for either a NatureWorks or Land and Water Conservation Fund grants. Crestline will receive $47,000 towards the $243,000 project. The Community Foundation for Crawford County has already approved a $30,000 grant towards that same project.

Other projects in the area receiving some of the $2 million in NatureWorks grants awarded statewide include Pleasant Hill Campgrounds in Richland County for approximately $10,500 and Upper Sandusky which will receive nearly $19,000 towards lifeguard chairs at the Harrison Smith Park pool.
