Crestline Village Council met in regular session on Monday, April 3, with all members present.
Councilman Allen Laferty presented minutes from the March 27 meeting of the parks, playgrounds and recreation committee. The subject was Crestline’s partially-built disk golf course, which appears to be stalled.
The committee will decide whether to scrap the project or move forward with a re-design. According to committee meeting minutes, the village has now assumed responsibility for the new park.
The project was originally spearheaded by resident Rob Shawber. Village legal counsel raised safety concerns about the condition of the course site, which is on the west side of town, along County Road 35.
According to committee minutes, village procedures were not followed to build the park, legal counsel Jon Burton said.
