CRESTLINE―Two people wanted for questioning in the death of a Crestline woman have been located.

According to Crestline Police Chief Jeff Shook, Ryan M. Williams, 33, and Falynn L. Phillips, 36, both with a last known address of 211 N. Pearl St. Crestline, have answered questions in the ongoing investigation into the unnatural death of Nicole Britt on July 15.

“The male was arrested by Shelby Police officers and he was interviewed by our department at the Richland County Jail. He is being held there on warrants,” said Shook.

Shook said Phillips contacted his department and told them she was in Mount Vernon. She was also questioned by officers but was not taken into custody.

“No charges have been filed in the case yet. We are still waiting for the preliminary autopsy results,” said Shook.

In a Facebook post, Shook thanked several area police departments and sheriff’s offices in helping locate the pair.

The department sent out a press release to area media and posted on social media last Thursday asking for the public’s help in locating Phillips and Williams.

According to the news release, officers found Nicole M. Britt deceased in a residence on North Pearl Street in Crestline and are searching for more information regarding her death.

The following is information released by the Crestline Police Department:

On July 15, 2019, the Crestline Police Dept. dispatch center received a 911 call from a male caller requesting a rescue squad to 211 N. Pearl St. Crestline, Ohio. Due to the suspicious nature of the call, officers were dispatched to respond with the rescue squad.

Upon arrival and after receiving no answer at the unlocked rear door, officers entered the home and located a deceased female in the living room.

After clearing the rest of the home, it was secured, and the coroner summoned to the scene. The death is believed to be an unnatural death and a further investigation into the facts surrounding the death is ongoing.

Investigators are seeking to talk to two individuals, Phillips and Williams, that could have further information on these events who include:

Both these individuals have been unable to be reached and we are asking for the public’s assistance.

Mr. Williams is believed to be driving a silver Chevy Cobalt or Chevy Cruz and has been reported to have been seen in a green older model Buick Century. He also has an active warrant for his arrest from the Mansfield Police Dept. Law enforcement databases indicate this individual is known to abuse drugs and is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Falynn Phillips is believed to be driving a Teal Dodge Stratus. She is a known drug abuser and has a lengthy criminal history.
