Crestline is a cleaner community this weekend than it was last weekend thanks to the efforts of the Crestline Community Development Team. That group organized the first-ever Crestline Clean-Up Challenge on May 3. Three teams collected 1.19 tons of trash in three hours.

Teams from United Bank, Crestline High School FCCLA and a combined group of Cub Scout Pack 317 and the Crawford County Denim Paws 4-H Club took part.

Kurtzman Sanitation donated a trash container for the event. United Bank, Checkers Pizza, Frank’s Treat Time and Holcker Hardware stepped up as sponsors. The Clean-Up Challenge will become an annual event to coincide with the annual village-wide clean-up week.
