CRESTLINE — The Crestline Exempted Village Schools Board of Education has extended an offer of employment to Matthew Henderson, currently the director of curriculum for Bucyrus City Schools.

Prior to becoming the director of curriculum in 2013, Henderson was the associate principal of the Bucyrus Secondary School and in 2011 was promoted to principal. He began his educational career as an instrumental music teacher in 1998.

“It is my sincere honor to be selected as the next Superintendent of the Crestline Schools. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities this role presents. The students, staff, Board of Education and community will be partners in continuing the work of my predecessors as well as collaborators in creating new experiences for our students. Thank you for this opportunity,” said Henderson.

Once the contract for employment is complete, the board intends to announce a special meeting to take official action.
