CRESTLINE—The Crestline Exempted Village Schools Board approved Aug. 19 as the first day of school for students heading back into the classrooms.
“As of today, our Fall Restart Plan will begin on August 19 with the first day for students. We are planning a five-day return with all students in the building. This will be contingent upon the status of Crawford County under the COVID-19 Risk Level Guidelines,” said Henderson last Thursday.
He said more details about mask requirements, transportation and the expanded online Bulldog Academy will be forthcoming after further discussion with the district’s professional unions.
“Our plan is to return to school at full capacity on August 19,” said Henderson. “We will be preparing a separate press release highlighting our plan once it’s finalized but our first day of school is August 19 for grades 1-12. Pre K will start August 24 as originally scheduled and Kindergarten will most likely start that day as well due to COVID-19 causing delays in screening.”
The board approved the installation of cold plasma ionization devices for the district’s HVAC system to improve the air quality in the building.
Several items on the agenda for the meeting were approved, including the approval of a financial temporary advancement of $ 60,000 from General Fund (001) into District Managed Student Activity Fund for Athletics retroactive to June 30, 2020, a Five-Year Forecasting Program agreement between K-12 Business Consulting and the Crestline Exempted Village School District for the period July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021, and an agreement with Rea & Associates regarding the compilation of financial statements for fiscal years 2020 through 2022.
