The Fine Arts Building at the Crawford County Fair is a testament to the creativity that is represented in our community and, on Monday, the spotlight was on the kids.
Art for Kids is a project that young people ages 3 to 12 can participate in by simply bringing in an art project that works with the theme of the day. This year, the prompt was to create something using clothespins and the entries included everything from necklaces to clothespin flowers to animals and everything in between.
David Hartschuh, who is partially in charge of the Fine Arts Building, said that Art for Kids is something “They can just do at home, a creative something fun they want to do.”
The judge’s decisions were as follows:
Age 4, 1st Place: Ryland Bloomfield
Age 4, 2nd Place: Jenna Filliater
Age 5, 1st Place: Cole Hudson
Age 6, 1st Place: Rylie Hoepf
Age 7, 1st Place: Corbin Bloomfield
Age 7, 2nd Place: Izzy Novak
Age 10, 1st Place: Sheba Sulser
Age 10, 2nd Place: Jaron Filliater
The works of art will be on display in the fine arts building at the Crawford County Fairgrounds all week.
