CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford SWCD, in partnership with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, is hosting a local farmland preservation meeting for Crawford County landowners interested in protecting their property for future generations. The Western Reserve Land Conservancy offers various land protection programs with an emphasis on conservation easements.

The meeting will cover three primary topics:

The Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Local Agricultural Easement Purchase Program (LAEPP).

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP-ALE).

Donated conservation easements, which often qualify for enhanced federal tax incentives.
