“BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Crawford Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is set to host a comprehensive pond clinic on June 20, featuring experts in the field and interactive discussions on pond-related topics.

Eugene Braig, a specialist from Ohio State University’s Aquatic Ecosystems program, will headline the event, sharing his expertise on all things related to ponds. In addition, Nathan Cass, Crawford County Wildlife Officer, will address the issue of nuisance wildlife around ponds and provide insights on effective management strategies.

The clinic will also delve into the specifics of pond construction and reconstruction, with detailed discussions led by representatives from Crawford SWCD.

Attendees will be treated to a light meal courtesy of the Lykens Country Crew 4H Club. The event will kick off at 5:15 p.m. by Johns Pond, located at 2699 Carey Rd, Bloomville, and will continue until 8:00 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to the event, which will proceed regardless of weather conditions. Those with unidentified aquatic plants are invited to bring them along for identification by the expert speakers.
